Trump Downside Risk

Draining the swamp has an awfully appealing ring to it. So does undoing the plot of the global elites. As I peruse the internet and read the likes of Alex Jones, The Vigilant Citizen and Paul Craig Roberts et al. I see the barely contained disbelief that a candidate they actually supported won.

The anti-establishment candidate.

The hope and change candidate.

Surely striking a blow against globalism, elitism and the rest of the isms must feel good. Trump does still present enormous downside risk however. Rarely is it as cut and dry as everything said about him during the campaign was wrong. There was , must have been some virtue in his opponents campaign.

Temperament may truly be a concern.

Things could still turn out to not go so well with an emboldened Russia. Its not to difficult to imagine two "tough guys" falling out with one another very quickly.

Lacking a non white face in leadership (majority or minority) positions in all branches of government in tandem with forced deportations will not make for pleasant television watching.

An act of terrorism could draw a loosely calibrated military response or force Trumps hand on an Islamic crackdown.

An extended energy supply shock (oil or electricity), medical pandemic or a natural disaster could test his management skills.

Perhaps the worst case scenario is that he expire shortly (and of course even long) into his tenure. Trumps' political movement and support in government is personified by he alone. The vice president appears to be as mainstream as they come and clearly not of the same mold and inclination to drain any swamps. Without Trump as a counterbalance the republican establishment would have free reign upon the United States of America because of their control of all branches of government. Trump ran counter to many of these policies. That he will be the oldest person to ever hold the office and is found of fast food does not inspire confidence on the health front.





 

A President for all Americans

When I asked Obama supporters why he had not more forcefully spoken out on issues of African-American concern I would be sternly reminded that he is president of all Americans. As it turns out he most certainly was not. The financial crash of 2008 and the democratic parties embrace of globalization casts a long shadow. Millions of American citizens of all backgrounds have not recovered from the policies of crony capitalism and watch in horror as new such policies are enacted every day.

If the polls were wrong about a Clinton victory they are most likely wrong about the Obama approval rating. Going deeper his black bourgeoisie plays well but eventually the lack of substance catches up. Here was a black president who could not admit citizens had a right to life and could affect no real change. I pointed out years ago that while I do listen to the hip hop music no one should promote it in public. His given widespread acceptance to Jay Z and his endless, repetitive use of the N word was really all anyone needed to know about Obama and what he thought of black america.

Apparently he thought highly of the white elites who placed him in power but little of the white masses who suffered his economic slights.

The elite mythology of the rise of the creative class and knowledge worker does not fit well with the truth that those jobs by their very nature go to a minority of the population with the intelligence and discipline to pursue them. The rest of us are left in the cold in such an unfair world. 

 

America's smack-down culture

African Americans get beat down and smacked down all the time. You can make a strong argument that things have changed considerably since the days of chattel slavery but you can also make just as strong an argument that the evolution of economic thought not moral evolution is the cause.

Many view the war of northern aggression as little more than a by product of industrialization. Slavery suppressed wages. Slavery and its attendant laws suppressed innovation.

Today as Bob Marley put it, "They say we are free only to be chained in poverty." Impoverished , miseducated blacks are routinely denied the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness that every american citizen is supposed (by rule of law) to enjoy. What we find is that man made laws are selectively applied.

Despite my railings against Jay Z it can be hard to fault anyone, black white brown red or yellow who seeks a way out of this morass. Hundreds of years, millions of lives wasted to pursue a white stage or whale that doesn't even exist.

Jay Z brings black folk together to call each other nigger and vote for Hilary. Disgusting.

Why I voted Trump

Obama is a race hustling poverty pimp if there ever was one. He and the rest of the democratic party eschew direct actions from citizens and say. "Wait."

Waiting is easy when you have the cash, homes and resources to weather the storm. 

If racism and poverty went away so would the democrats. They have a vested interest in keeping that stuff going. It gets them elected. It gets them power. 

The right as tool of the left is as close to the truth of the matter as you can get. 

Donald Trump is different. He is an outsider who really will bring hope and change to Washington and the rest of America. All these angry blacks on TV need do is vote for him and things would change.  Quickly. 

A personal Insult from Obama

Recently President Obama told African-Americans that if they did not come out in droves and vote for Hilary Clinton he would take it as a personal insult.

As it happens president Obama has done many things that African-Americans should consider personally insulting. Here is a small list:

1. Speeches instead of action. Watching the president sing whatever it was from a pulpit in SC after the church murders was personally insulting. Nothing came of it.
2. Referring to himself as a "real African- American" during the census was very insulting. If he is a real African-American what does that make the rest of us? Fake? 
3. Consistently supporting Jay Z and his use of words like Bitch and Nigger. Far from showcasing reality Jay Z (and many others like him) have profited enormously from the systemic racism encountered by the above mentioned fake African-Americans. 
4. Using what political capital he had to support Henry Louis Gates. Almost like a ivy league inspired scheme his actions and words no doubt helped to fuel the spate of police violence in this country the past eight years.

Obama failed black america. He has insulted black america and now as he retreats to a life of million dollar speeches he goes back to the well only to find the bottom is dry.

 

Envisioning Economic Collapse - Guns and Gold

America is at a precarious point in its history. That is not written to be inflammatory or as preface to some conspiratorial oratory. It is an opinion based on the diversity of media available to the average citizen and a cursory analysis of what would happen should the fabric (media, financial system) that binds modern day America tear.

Since the 2008 financial crisis the demand for gold, guns and silver has skyrocketed. Doomsday preppers as they are called are now mainstream. With a presidential candidate openly questioning whether he would accept the results of the election it would seem that a fundamental conceit of American democracy has been taken for granted.

So, its not too hard to see why one's mind may drift and envision what would be right of boom.

In the event of a nuclear attack by China, Russia or (heaven forbid) the EU on America the answer is short and simple. Nothing would be left to see. The East and West Coasts would be vaporized and flyover country would be haphazard and treacherous.

A more limited exchange or localized pandemic or supply chain disruption (oil maybe) would leave large swaths of the country physically unharmed but unable to operate business as usual. With that as a scenario lets take a look at:

Guns - There may be some benefit but more benefit will be had in large numbers and organization. Guns cannot be eaten. They are good somewhat for protection but against large crowds a handgun is unlikely to make much difference.

Gold and Silver - Silver is the original money and gold retains value but its marginal value is low when necessities are considered. That said, were the credit system to freeze up yet production capacity remain online gold and silver would be the place to be.

(Black) Power Man

The Marvel / Netflix television series Luke Cage is a really good superhero television show. With a nearly all black cast and crew (along with the main character) it is also history making. There have been other productions, most notably M.A.N.T.I.S but what sets Luke Cage apart is the emphasis on embracing the American culture that would produce such a hero.

From shootouts in the barbershop to wrongdoing at a community center Luke Cage does not take place in a remote "fortress of solitude" but in the 'hood. His adventures take him to prison, nightclubs and to church. The drama is infused with and comfortable with blackness. American blackness.

That his costume is essentially a bullet riddled hoodie sweatshirt serves as a constant reminder of the danger confronting black men in modern society. Though peaceful he finds himself shot at constantly by everybody. He has served prison time, has a police record and lives under an assumed name. he is an outcast, an outlaw. He has been without ever committing a crime, criminalized. This he shares with every black man in America.

So his power is to be bulletproof. Thick - skinned.And very strong.

On a more critical note however there are many problems with Power Man from a black nationalist point of view. His values are skewed. For example, despite his tremendous ...well power he has to be convinced to contribute something to the uplift of those around him. He has no innate need or desire to see those around him succeed. It is only when he can no longer run from his blackness that he accepts it. This all the while looking to it to provide for him (companionship, entertainment, brotherhood and employment).

Overall Luke Cage moves the needle forward.
